Important Information

A new lift is one that is made available to users/put in service from the 1st of July 2002 onwards whereas an existing lift is one that is made available to users/put in service before the 1st of July 2002.
For the registration of a new lift/s, the Declaration of Conformity and the Details of the responsible person are to be attached. In this case, this form should be completed by the installer.
For the registration of an existing lift/s, no attachments are required. In this case, this form should be completed by the responsible person.
Payment can be affected either online, bank transfer or cheque payable to the MCCAA. In any case you opt for a bank transfer or cheque, a proof of payment needs to be attached.

The Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority ('the Controller') will process your personal data in accordance with the relevant provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (Chapter 586 of the Laws of Malta), for the purpose of lift registration, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Lifts Regulations, Subsidiary Legislation 427.37 and Inspection of Lifts Regulations, Subsidiary Legislatoin 427.63 of the Laws of Malta. I am aware that this requires the disclosure of my name, Identification card number, home address, e-mail address and personal contact number to the Installer for the purpose of providing the required personal data to the Controller for lift registration purposes. The Controller will process your personal data for registration and administrative purposes and to comply with its legal obligations.
